Playing in front of a boisterous, enthusiastic crowd, the Tigers roared back from two sets down to upend Perryville in a battle of perennial state title contenders Tuesday night, September 18. Abigail Vogelsong tallied twice including the eventual game-winner with 11:53 remaining as the Tome field hockey team nipped host Perryville 2-1 Friday afternoon.
"I got a nice assist again from Laidan Ryan and I just tapped it in," Vogelsong said of her second score. "It's all a team effort." The Susquehanna Bowl is staying on the west side of the river.
Havre de Grace claimed its fourth straight victory in the rivalry with Perryville by downing the Panthers 45-15 Thursday night at Harris Stadium. The host Warriors capitalized on Perryville's inexperience and lack of depth to dominate all three facets of the game and score 45 unanswered points following the Panthers' strong start.
